The Fire Service project branded ‘Operation Grassroots’ is taking place in the Daneshouse with Stoneyholme Ward this month. It has been recognised that because of the current financial cutbacks many of our former partners are no longer here to assist and support us in forging links to access our local communities. With this in mind it was decided that we would raise our profile and seek out ways to get into the heart and grassroots of the community.
Every Thursday in May a multi agency drop advice session will take place in the refreshment area at ASDA in Burnley between 1 and 3. Representatives from various agencies including the Fire Service, Police, Streetscene officers, Road Safety, Help Direct, Domestic Violence, Faiths4 change, the Women’s Centre, Building Bridges in Burnley will offer advice and information and reassurance to residents that their local services are working together to make their community a safer place to live in.
