1004060_10151778508610407_1350662032_nphoto‘Singing for the Soul’, Burnley’s Women’s Interfaith Choir travelled to Blackburn yesterday for their Radio Lancashire debut. The day started with a flashmob on the train which was really appreciated by the passengers and staff alike.  Once in Blackburn, the choir, brought about through Burnley Building Bridge’s Coffee morning, were featured on a 2 hour programme  which included interviews with several of the women who travelled to Jerusalem on an interfaith pilgrimage as well as Janet Swan who is the choir leader. After the programme the choir walked to the cathedral for lunch where they were met by both a Christian and a Muslim worker and then sang once more inside the cathedral. Everyone had a great time and the choir is now looking forward to furture bookings. New choir meembers are welcome, no auditions, no soloists… everyone can sing.
