Women’s morning.

From Radio Lancashire.

Building Bridges in Burnley is celebrating its twelve year history with a series of events promoting togetherness within the faith communities in the town.

Today they held a Womens Day at the Jinnah Community Hall in Brougham Street in the Daneshouse with Stoneyholme district.

Amongst the workshops was a healthy cooking demonstration where we found Runa, Jenny, Nasma, Shanaz + Jeffrin preparing lunch. At the embrodiery workshop we met close friends Samena and Diana.

Samena tells this Sunday’ s BBC Radio Lancashire’s Breakfast programme: “Building Bridges has opened up my eyes to other peoples cultures and faiths.”
